Childrens' Art:

Azania1

baby shower gift to go with a nursery theme. Private collection of Mrs. Kristen Presser. (In this one, I was trying to match the boy's nursery motif, rather than painting in a more realistic style which I would prefer.)

Azania 2

Private collection of Mrs. Kristen Presser. (Below, this was painted to sell in the 2009 Craft Fair for any child's room; not to match any linen decor, but I stayed in the theme of the animals of Azania. I intentionally painted with the idea that the painting could be used to teach beginning counting; i.e., one giraffe, two ostriches, three elephants, four camels...)

Azania 3:Monkey Thunks Hippo on Head with Coconut

Private collection of Mrs. Kristen Presser. (This was painted to sell in the 2010 Craft Fair for any child's room; not to match any linen decor, but I stayed in the theme of the animals of Azania. Also can be used for teaching counting to three.)

Azania 4: Monkey Play

Private collection of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Blair of Alexandria, Virginia. 2012 Commissioned art by Dr. Dale Blair.

Under the Sea

Commissioned. Private collection of Mrs. Kristen Presser of Broomall, PA.

Other Recent Paintings

Marple Christian Church

Painted in October of 2008 for the church's 50th anniversary celebration, and to be used occasionally on bulletin covers and church directory covers. Painted on a raised surface canvas, 30" x 50". Permanently hanging in the Church's Fellowship Room. The painting contains a number of symbolic features pointing to the Lord's shining grace and gift of His bright shining light which has conquered the dragon of dark clouds which might have threatened the church (this cloud formation actually existed, I used a photograph to paint from without changes). Also, it has just rained, indicating the Lord's sustenance and revitalization. Springtime blooming indicates vitality and life, color and fragrance, growth and hope (these bushes are now much bigger). Open doors indicate our welcoming all in (also, showing that it is completely wheelchair accessible--which it is); and interior lights showing on the ceiling of the Fellowship Hall, along with the hint of people through the windows, indicating our being active and things happening within.

Looking to a Bright Future

A painting made from a photograph by the Cantrells in Cancun from a natural "swimming hole" looking up the cliffside to the peacock. Private collection of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Cantrell, 06/12/2010 (hanging in their front entry foyer). Maryland.
